The study of wood as a renewable material and organic material is what is known as wood science. The processes and the tools used to utilize the material is what is known as wood technology. In other copper-based preservation methods copper is dissolved in chemicals while in this method copper is driven into the wood as a metal. This process is highly effective and the wood properties and heightened. The wood products protected using this method last longer.
Termites cannot eat through timber treated through this method. It is not corrosive to metals used in together with the product. When you use this method to treat wood, then you will not need to worry for at least ten years.
