How The Current Automobile Developed From The Beginning.
Learning the history on how the first car looked like up to the modern car that we now have would be interesting. The current cars are comfortable, classic, speedy and they have an attractive look. There are various models depending on the comfort you want and cost of the car.Therefore, the following are the events that happened from the beginning of the first car.
The first automobile dated from the year 1769.The automobiles that were being used during this time looked different from the cars that we have today.They appeared more like carriages that horses used to pull. Then people started to think that having carriages that do not have to be pulled by horses would be a good idea.That’s when they discovered that they could add engine to the carriages. The carriages were known as horseless carriages though they did not pick well.
An internal engine that consumed petrol energy was invented in 1876 by a German called Nikolas Otto. it is during this time that a usable engine was made. Experimental cars that used petrol as the main source of fuel were then used to test the engine.
Cars that consumed petrol were designed in 1885 by mechanics and engineers and were made available to citizens. Those cars cannot be compared with the modern cars because they were too slow and they had three wheels only like bicycle wheels.
In 1908, the first reliable car was developed. It was referred to as Ford Model T and driving this car was far better. The car was available to many people because it was produced in large quantities. Due to the mass production, costs related to production were cut, and therefore the car was cheap making many families buy the car.
The car that became popular for the first time was Volkswagen Beetle.It was designed in the 1930s by Ferdinand Porsche but could only be manufactured in 1945 due to the Second World War.The car became popular to many people because it was not expensive to run, it was strong, and it was not easy to break down.
Several people in the world had better earnings in the 1950s and the only way they could show their wealth was to buy big cars and customize them. Many people came to know car parts such as tail lights, fins, electric windows among others that were used by the wealthy. Even though these large cars used to consume a lot of petrol, people were able to buy it since it was cheap.
James Bond started driving Aston Martin in 1960swhen cars became famous. Though, cars had not reached to many people in the world until in the 1980s.
